Ocasio-Cortez Slams Biden: ‘I’ll Be Damned’ If We’re Going to Accept His Approach to Climate Change

Environmental extremist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez took a shot at Joe Biden earlier this week, railing that she would “be damned” if he thinks a “middle of the road” approach to global warming is acceptable.

The New York Democrat, who recently hinted that she’d be open to endorsing a candidate in 2020, has made it clear that Biden is not her personal favorite.

Just last month, Ocasio-Cortez said a Biden campaign “does not particularly animate me right now,” and that she “[doesn’t] want to go back,” she “want(s) to go forward.”

Now, she’s declaring his lukewarm embrace of her radical Green New Deal is a dealbreaker.

“I’ll be damned if the same politicians who refused to act (in past decades) are going to try to come back today and say we need a ‘middle of the road’ approach to save our lives,” she said at a rally for the widely-mocked global warming policy.

The comments were a direct jab at Biden whose campaign revealed he was seeking to “find middle ground” when crafting a policy to aid the environment.

Save Our Lives

It’s funny to see Ocasio-Cortez return to her hyperbolic rants on climate change when she recently mocked Republicans for actually believing her when she said the world was going to end in 12 years.

“You’d have to have the social intelligence of a sea sponge to think it’s literal,” she scoffed in reference to her own comments.

And just like that, we’re back to ‘we need the Green New Deal to “save our lives,” like OMG.’

Ocasio-Cortez’s comments came in front of a rally for the Sunrise Movement, the same group she helped in staging a global warming protest inside of Nancy Pelosi’s office.

Teaming Up With Bernie

The Hill is reporting that Ocasio-Cortez seemed to be providing an “assist” to Bernie Sanders, coordinating their attacks on Biden as the former vice president runs away and hides in national polling.

Last week, the Political Insider suggested that any endorsement by AOC would most likely be granted to Sanders. He is, after all, nearly as radically communist as Ocasio-Cortez in every way, while she has previously served as an organizer for Sanders’s presidential campaign.

But they’re not going to win a battle with Trump, even if they gang up.

Hours earlier, the President declared the Green New Deal, which nearly every other Democrat has endorsed, to be a hoax.

“The Green New Deal is a hoax like the hoax I just went through,” Trump said during a speech in Louisiana. “I’m not sure, it might even be a bigger one. And mine was pretty big.”
